Vendor Requirements Checklist

The following are just a few requirements that must be completed before we can consider carrying new products:

FDA-legal labeling on prepared food products

This includes complete ingredient listings and nutritional labeling as required by law for your specific product. See the Food & Drug Administration for guidance and information

No artificial colors, sweeteners, fillers, preservatives, thickeners or flavors

All food ingredients must be 100% natural and cannot contain any of the ingredients found on this list.

A scan-able UPC/barcode

Grubb’s Grocery is not affiliated with any provider, but one current vendor has worked with Quality UPC and is happy with their service. Please understand this is a requirement for us to receive and sell your product through our inventory and point-of-sale system.

Company contact information on your label

FDA-required company information on your label including company location and website/contact.

Consistent re-stocking

It's important that supply is able to keep up with demand, and out-of-stocks can put us in a difficult situation with our customers. So we like local vendors to be able to always keep inventory in stock on our shelves.

Packing slip or invoice

All deliveries must be accompanied by a packing slip or invoice that contains an itemized list and pricing of the items delivered.

Full pricing disclosure

We will need to know up front all wholesale costing and suggested retail pricing information. It is Grubb's Grocery's policy that we do not carry MLM-based (multi-level marketing) products. That includes products that are typically or traditionally sold by individuals and those individuals can recruit other individuals to distribute their product. Only the traditional wholesale/retail structure fits within our guidelines.

Full sourcing and ingredient disclosure

It is important that we know where you source your products or ingredients.

Reciprocal links

We provide a link to all local vendor's social media and websites from our Local Directory. We request reciprocal links be placed to GrubbsGrocery.com from all local vendor websites.

Sampling and demos

We require vendors to provide and staff in-store sampling and demos within the first 90 days of product introduction in order to ensure product success.
